Guide on How to Successfully Buy the Kylie Lip Kit !

The Lip Kits sold by Kylie Cosmetics are if not the most sought after than one of the most popular makeup products right now. It even broke Google after the site crashed and "broke Google Analytics". There is just so much hype right now around this product.

I've heard a lot of stories of people failing to get their hands on one of the kits whilst I managed to succeed on my first attempt. Hence, I'm writing this guide/ strategy to increase the chances on having one/ some of these bad boys in your possession.

1. Be Alert - The most important thing is knowing when the restock/ launches will happen. Kylie nearly aways will announce them on her App which you can get off either Apple iTunes or the Google Play Store. You can also follow Kylie herself or Kylie Cosmetics on social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram). For those who do not want to pay you can follow accounts that post restock/ launch information from the app such as Nadia on Instagram.
2. Make a VIP Account - Make sure you register for an account before the launch date. This is important as it will save time during the check out process as you can loose lip kits if they sell out! Make sure all your information is completed and correct (email, phone and address).
3. Autofill Card Details - Most internet browsers today allow you to save your card information so that when you head to the checkout instead of typing all your card details in you can do it with a click of a button! If you are worried about security, you can always remove your card details from the auto fill option in your browser after you purchase the kit. Remember to note your CSC/ CVV Code which is the 3 digit number at the back of your card because you always have to type that manually.
4. Have the Tabs Ready - The day before the launch (I prefer to do it early because the site sometimes goes under maintenance) you should list down the links of some important pages which I will list later. The reason for this is you want to load all the pages as fast as possible and the most efficient method is to having them ready for refreshing. These are the pages you need to have ready:
• Home page of Kylie Cosmetics
• Individual pages of each shade you want
• My Cart/ Checkout page
5. Get Ready to Refresh - About 1-2 minutes before launch you should start refreshing the home page for Kylie Cosmetics because this is the page you won't be needing. Make sure the page is set to the http://kyliecosmetics.com and not http://kyliecosmetics.com/password as it will only show maintenance image and won't redirect to the site even after launch. Once the home page loads immediately refresh all the individual pages of each shade you want! TIP: Use keyboard shortcuts to refresh each tap quickly!
6. Click 'Add to Cart' - Quickly move between tabs as they load and add the kits to your cart as quick as possible. The faster you are the more likely you will get the kits! (UPDATE: the new site appears not to have a separate cart page but will update after next launch once verified)
7. Refresh the My Cart/ Checkout page - Although you can click the cart at the top navigation bar on the last individual shade you added to cart I find that it isn't as effective as refreshing the my cart page. If the last shade you added didn't go into your cart then you will have to press back and reload the shade which will take too much time!
8. Do not Refresh the Site - The newest site update introduced a queue system which prevents the site from crashing like previously. DO NOT refresh this page - you are in queue so wait patiently.
9. Site Back and Relax - Hopefully you are now the proud owner of some bomb as lip kits!!!

TIP: Have this ready on both your computer and mobile incase one fails. I used both my home internet and my mobile data. I managed to load my order on both but I found that the computer was faster and much easier to use.
